“The mission of the Mental Health Division is to promote recovery and safety.”
Information Systems Data Evaluation Committee Charter
Adopted August 2001
Purpose
The MHD Information System Data Evaluation Group (ISDEC) provides a forum for MHD and Regional Support Network (RSN) technical staff to review, evaluate, and recommend technical alternatives for information processing and data exchange.
Mission
ISDEC supports the Mental Health Division Management and RSN Administrators by providing advice and recommendations on technical solutions and tools to meet the contracted information reporting requirements. Specifically this means the production of a Data Dictionary, which identifies relevant data elements, data definitions, and electronic transaction formats and code standards. It also includes reviewing and streamlining reporting procedures and monitoring the data for quality, consistency, and timeliness of reporting.
Context
ISDEC members representing specific stakeholders are expected to convey information about ISDEC issues and activities to and from their sponsor as appropriate. Issues of common concern will be (laterally) coordinated with the MHD Performance Indicator work group or other Quality Assurance groups as appropriate. Meetings should normally be scheduled on a monthly basis but the schedule could change depending on the workloads and issues.
Governance
ISDEC recommendations are forwarded to the MHD Management Team for approval and possible ratification into contract. The RSN Administrators Group will be given the opportunity to review and comment on ISDEC recommendations.
