What needs program covers:

Outpatient Programs (publicly funded)

  • Intensive Outpatient is a 72+ hour program of treatment provided to meet the needs of those clientele going though the Deferred Prosecution Program (RCW 10.05) in lieu of inpatient treatment as required by statute. The program is also provided to those individuals who meet the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria who are in need of more treatment than standard out patient treatment can provide but do not need to be in a residential program. The program consists of individual and group therapy in addiction to educational sessions.

  • Outpatient Treatment is a program providing individual and group therapy depending upon the needs of the client.

Who is eligible: Those clients who meet ASAM placement criteria, who are diagnosed as chemically dependent, and are amenable to treatment are eligible to receive services.

Priority populations for county contracted facilities are:

  • Youth
  • Pregnant women
  • Parents with dependent children, including Child Protective Service referrals (CPS)
  • IV drug users

Income and Resource Limits for publicly funded clients:Individuals are normally eligible for services on a sliding fee scale if they meet the low income threshold as determined by salary and family size.

For clients receiving GAU, GAX, TANF, SSI, or receiving Medicaid, services are provided free of charge.

The Alcohol Drug Addiction Treatment and Support Act (ADATSA) are services provided to those individuals who are unable to maintain employment as a result of their addiction, meet the financial eligibility criteria as determined by the Community Service Office, are employable, and willing to get treatment. Assistance in getting a job is given as well as limited money for living expenses, depending upon need and available resources.

Most Tribes have certified treatment programs and offer services to Indians and Non Natives. Contact the Tribal Program for service availability as well as eligibility requirements. Some Urban Indian Programs also provide outpatient treatment.

How to apply/get services: For ADATSA, contact the designated ADATSA Assessment Center in your county. For other outpatient services, contact any of the county and/or county subcontracted services.

Tribal programs can be contracted directly for service availability.
