To receive further information about adoption from DSHS:
Contact your local office.
A worker will answer any questions, send out an information packet, and provide information on adoption procedures for their office.
Sign up for pre-service training courses through your local office. You are required to have 30 hours of training to learn about adoption and foster issues.
Once training is complete, you will be assigned a social worker.
