Parent-Child-Sibling Visits

On September 1, 2008, Children's Administration will implement:

  • Parent-child visit within 72 hours of initial placement
  • Twice-monthly visits between siblings placed apart in out-of home care

A child's initial visit with his or her parent may occur sooner than you expect. Your child's social worker may ask you to help with visits, but this is not a caregiver requirement. If you want to help, Children's Administration can reimburse for mileage and activities that take place during visits between siblings placed apart in care.
