Resource Family Training Institute Meet the TrainersGuardians of dependent children and kinship families are welcome to attend all classes provided statewide by the Resource Family Institute, free of charge, whether or not you are licensed.

I am having a great time working for the Family Resource Training Institute. Before starting with RFTI in 2008 I was a licensor for a private agency, a high school counselor, a juvenile probation office and I did four years in the United States Coast Guard as a narcotics office and law enforcement trainer. I graduated from Central Washington University in 1997 and I received a graduate degree from Washington State University (Go Cougs!!) in 2003. I have a beautiful wife and we have two children. A daughter (Grace) who is one and a son (Chance) who is four. My wife is a high school teacher. We were married in 2004. Since starting with RFTI I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of great foster parents and caregivers.
