Resource Family Training Institute
Meet the Trainers
Guardians of dependent children and kinship families are welcome to attend all classes provided statewide by the Resource Family Institute, free of charge, whether or not you are licensed.
I am the mother of three sons and grandmother of four. I attended Evergreen State College, then received my B.A. in Psychology from Carroll College. I have begun my masters and have completed Antioch University’s Foster/Adoption Therapy Program.
In 1990, I worked in a Montana Correctional Facility for girls. From there I worked in CWS as a social worker, mostly with adolescents. I was offered a position as Children’s Case Management then opened up a group home for sexually reactive teens. I moved back to Washington to be closer to family and began as a CWS worker then on to adoptions for almost three years.
I loved teaching pre-service and was thrilled to move to Moses Lake and train full time. I love the challenge of finding special topics trainers and helping foster/relative providers become more skilled in their care of our vulnerable children.
