Upon completion of the Skills Training, participants will be able to compete in the labor market with an increased level of employability, having acquired a set of skills sought by potential employers identified by community and technical colleges during industry research that they have conducted.

Contingent upon available funding, DSHS intends to award two (2) contracts in the amount of up to $76,000 per contract to community or technical colleges to provide the services described in this RFP.

The contract performance period starts July 1, 2013 and ends on December 31, 2013. If necessary, the end date will be extended to allow for the completion of a post-project evaluation. DSHS, at its sole discretion, may continue these projects throughout State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2014 (July 1, 2013 – June 30, 2014) and SFY 2015 (July 1, 2014-June 30, 2015) subject to the availability of funds.
