The Department of Social and Health Services like many other State agencies, is facing growing challenges in recruiting and retaining a highly qualified, diverse work force. The Secretary of DSHS is committed to developing and maintaining an excellent diverse work force where DSHS is the "employer of choice" in State Government.

Our dedicated Executive Outreach Manager is available to help improve and enhance the agency's ability to identify and attract new, diverse candidates for all positions within the department. We also focus on ensuring that we can retain and promote the current diversity staff employed by DSHS.

The goal of the Executive Outreach Manager is to assist DSHS Department Managers in increasing their total number of diverse employees. The Executive Outreach Manager will work to ensure there is an excellent and qualified pool of diverse candidates available to compete for job opportunities as they become available.

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Office encourages applicants that are seeking job opportunities with DSHS to complete the "DIVERSITY PROFILE" form in the Department of Personnel's e-Recruitment Employment Application database. Submission of this information is voluntary, however; completing this form helps DSHS enhance its pool of qualified, diverse workforce candidates and provide increased employment opportunities to diverse populations. To ensure DSHS provides this opportunity for all job openings, please complete the DIVERSITY PROFILE form each time you apply for a new position.
