Co-Occurring Disorder:

DASA’s treatment providers are required to screen all patients for mental illness as part of their chemical dependency assessment.  Patients who screen positive receive a full co-occurring disorders assessment and/or referral for appropriate services.   Some DASA providers are licensed to provide mental health services, and receive funding for services by Regional Support Networks.    

Many of our agencies also provide support to patients with mental health issues through skills training and linkages with mental health agencies.   DASA is currently reviewing the capacity of CD treatment agencies to provide mental health treatment, and will be posting those results when available.
