Alcohol/Drug Detoxification

What is Detoxification (Detox)?

  • Detox services help patients withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs.
  • Acute detox is provided in a medical setting, supervised by a physician.
  • Sub-acute detox is provided in a home-like facility where patients may self-administer medications their doctor has prescribed while they are in the facility.

Who is Eligible For These Services?

  • Youth ages 13 to 17.
  • Adults ages 18 and older.
  • Must be indigent or low-income.
  • Must be intoxicated and/or experiencing withdrawal symptoms.
