Featured Artist: Guy McDonnell

Guy McDonnell

Artist  Guy McDonnell, of Seattle, Washington, is 19 years old and was diagnosed with autism at age three.  In 2008, Guy began painting abstract art with his mom.  He enjoys the colors, motion and satisfaction from start to finish.

His goals include being in the community with his art, seeing his art in public places, and adding to the art world through his special style and gifts. He and his mom have plans to create an art program out of their studio to include friends.

His art  has been shown at the Edmonds Art Walk 2008 "Cest la Vie Artism” and at the Fremont Art walk 2009, Orange Splot Gallery.

This family-centered, research-based program serves six children on the autism spectrum and six typically developing peers.  All students contributed equally to the art featured in Spokane’s 6th Annual Autism Awareness Month Poster.
