2015 State Plan Update
Why does DVR do a State Plan?
The State Plan is required by the Rehabilitation Act and the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA).
The State Plan is updated annually to guide the way we deliver vocational rehabilitation services to customers,
ensure DVR fully complies with the Rehabilitation Act, and secure critical federal funding.
DVR will submit a 2015 State Plan Update to RSA no later than June 30, 2014. The
updated plan will cover the time period October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015.
Why is the DVR State Plan important?
The State Plan is a living document which describes all of DVR's goals, priorities, partnerships, and activities.
This living document represents the ongoing dialogue and strategic partnership between DVR and its stakeholders.
DVR and its stakeholders utilize the State Plan as a road map for providing customers with high quality vocational
rehabilitation services and promoting successful vocational outcomes for Washingtonians living with disabilities.
2015 State Plan Forums - Thank You Stakeholders
DVR would like to thank those who attended the State Plan Forums in Spokane, Lynnwood, and Lacey. These forums were an
important opportunity for DVR to share its 2015 Draft State Plan with its stakeholders and gather feedback. The feedback
collected at the forums has been presented to DVR senior leadership and integrated into the 2015 State Plan. An updated
version of the Draft State Plan, with this incorporated feedback, will be presented to DVR senior leadership and the
Washington State Rehabilitation Council on June 16th. Please monitor this space for further updates.
The 2015 Draft DVR State Plan?
