*The Office of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ODHH) and DBSC have a contract to provide a new video phone system for Deaf-Blind users.
DBSC is currently developing the new system that enables Deaf-Blind persons a total access to VP using a communication facilitator (CF). CFs provides visual information to those unable to see the video screen or read visual ASL. The CFs can be used to make video relay service (VRS) and personal to personal (P2P) calls. The calls can be made using any of the following communication modes: tactile, close vision and whatever that will enable the deaf-blind users to successfully communicate using the VP system.
