Statistics on the Number of Persons Civilly Committed to the Special Commitment Center Program

Superior Courts in 30 counties have civilly committed one or more individuals to the Special Commitment Center (SCC) program.  The chart below lists the number of individuals committed by county and the total number in the civil commitment program.

The Special Commitment Center (SCC) main facility is located in the middle of McNeil Island approximately two miles from the McNeil Island Corrections Center. 

A separate facility with controlled access inside the SCC is provided for civilly committed females.  There is one woman in the program.

Community LRAs

Are less restrictive alternative community placement housing arrangements other than SCTFs.
