Access the Narrative Screen (NARR)

To access the (NARR) from any screen in update or inquiry mode:
  1. Press the <HOME> key.

  2. Enter [NARR] in the upper right corner of the screen.

  3. <TRANSMIT> and ACES takes you directly to the (NARR).

  4. To make an entry to the(NARR) in inquiry mode, once in the (NARR) press <F19>.

  5. The (NARR) can also be accessed directly from the (ADDR) or (DONE) by pressing <F22>.

  6. After an entry is made <TRANSMIT> to return to the (DONE).

    When the user returns to the previous screen the information on the narrative screen is protected so that it cannot be changed.

  7. The case narrative can be accessed on an active, closed, or denied case.
     


Narrative Screen

Whenever the (NARR) is accessed through Update, if an entry is made and the narrative screen updated, the date and user ID of the user accessing the narrative is automatically entered on the screen.  See EA-Z Manual - Documentation

NOTE: If you are the first person to access the (NARR), you are automatically put in UPDATE mode. 

Even if you do not enter any information on the narrative, your user ID may remain on the narrative unless you <F3> out.


Whenever the (NARR) is accessed through Inquiry, the date, and the user ID of the user accessing the narrative is automatically entered on the screen only when <F19> is pressed and an entry is made.

If the user presses <F3> to cancel out of the (NARR) the narrative will not update and the date and user ID will not display.

 


Remarks Screen (REMA)

To access the (REMA):
  1. Access the (REMA) from any information screen, when in update mode, by pressing <F9>.

    The (REMA) can only be accessed in inquiry mode if (REMARKS) is in the upper right hand corner under the Screen ID field of the information screen.

  2. If an entry is made and the (REMA) updated, the date and user ID remain on the screen.

    If the user presses <F3> to cancel out of the (REMA), the user ID and date will not display.

  3. After an entry is made <TRANSMIT> to return to the previous screen.

  4. When transmitted and saved, ACES adds (REMARKS) in the upper right hand corner of the information screen under the Screen ID field, to show that remarks have been entered.
