052: EFT PRENOTE TRANS FAILED-CLOSED ACCOUNT

This is the only EFT Pre-Note alert generated as of July 22, 2002.  The second line of this alert contains the return reason code. The different second line reasons are listed below: 

• Closed Account

• No Account

• Invalid Account

• Account Holder / Account Rep Payee Revoked EFT

• Bank Sold

• Account Rep Payee Deceased

• Account Holder Deceased

• Account Frozen

• File Error

• Non-Transaction Account

• Refused By Bank

If the prenote was sent on the account holder, the user should review account information recorded on the (RES1) to determine if a discrepancy exists and follow up with the client as needed.

If the prenote was sent on a account representative payee, the alert is informational since resource information on account representative payees is not recorded in ACES.
