This alert is generated when a second month of current, IV-D child support is collected that exceeds the TANF grant amount.  The TANF AU is AUTO closed effective the following month.  

The alert includes text that shows the actual amount of support collected for each of the previous months.

This is a month-end deadline alert.

  1. Review the AU by selecting option [B] – AU/Client Inquiry – and press <F15> to access the case.
  2. Verify the details on the UNER screen regarding the child support.
  3. Document action taken and disposition alert.

 

231: IV-D COLLECTION EXCEEDS GRANT, AMT=$ REVIEW OPTIONAL/CONSOLIDATED AU FOR CLOSURE

This alert is generated for a TANF AU that is consolidated and/or has optional members, when a second month of current IV-D child support is collected that exceeds the TANF grant amount.  The AU does not AUTO close.

The AU should be reviewed to determine if it's appropriate to close the entire AU when the child support may be for an optional member.

This is a month-end deadline alert.
