236: PREGNANCY IN THE 3RD TRIMESTER - EVALUATE FOR AFDC

This alert is generated in the month prior to a TANF, Refugee, or MA client's third trimester of pregnancy. The user must review and evaluate the client's circumstances and establish a TANF AU when appropriate and disposition the alert.

PROCEDURE

  1. If this is an MA AU case only, disposition the alert.

  2. If this is a financial AU, enter Option B - AU / Client Inquiry - in the Selection field and press <F15>.

  3. Call MISC.

  4. Write the AU number down and press <F15> to access the DMEN.

  5. Generate Letter 0023-02 (Request for Information) to request the absent parent forms and eligibility review forms be completed, from either <F14> or <F22>.

  6. Press <F3> until you return to the MISC and call DONE.

  7. Press <F14> and create a user-generated alert as a tickler.

  8. Press <TRANSMIT> to return to the DONE and press <F22> to update the narrative.

  9. Press <TRANSMIT> twice to return to the alerts screen and disposition the alert.

  10. Once the information has been provided, determine if the client is eligible for TANF.

    If so, enter Option L - Add A Program from the AMEN and press  <TRANSMIT> to screen for TANF.

  11. From AMEN complete Options

    • [O] - Interview -,

    • [P] - Process -, and

    • [Q] - Finalize - for the appropriate months.

  12. When completed, disposition the user-generated alert.
