407: INVALID ADDRESS - SEE 2ND LINE

This alert is generated when the Coding Accuracy Support System ( CASS) has determined that the address in ACES is invalid and there are no suggestions for correction. 

The second line will show which address - mailing, residential, AREP or vendor, is invalid. The user must determine the correct address, follow up with verification of correct address and verification of shelter costs, and change the mailing and/or residential address on (ADDR), (AREP), and / or (VEND).

PROCEDURE

1.       Determine what type of address is invalid, i.e., Mailing, Residential, AREP, or Vendor as listed on the second line of the alert.

2.      Access the case file by either using option [B] - Inquiry - or [R] - Interim / Hist Change - from the alerts.

3.      Look at the address listed on the (ADDR) to determine any inconsistencies and make the appropriate change.

4.      Follow up with verification of correct address and shelter cost.
