What are the DCS interfaces?

What are the DCS interfaces?

 

·         ACES interfaces with Division of Child Support (DCS) to exchange information related to:

 

o    Non-custodial parents

 

o    Child support payments

 

o    Health insurance coverage

 

o    Paternity

 

o    New employment listings (New Hires File)

 

How often do the DCS interfaces run?

 

·         ACES sends and receives interface information at varying times throughout the month.

 

·         The DCS New Hires File is run once a week in ACES.

 

What information does ACES send to DCS?

 

·         ACES sends DCS information about:

           

o    Newly approved Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) AUs

 

o    Added persons to TANF AUs

 

o    Newly terminated TANF AUs

 

o    Children receiving Concurrent Benefits Dual TANF

 

o    TANF AUs for a child suddenly deprived of parental support (such as one of the parents moving out of the home)

 

o    Any new non-custodial parent(s) added to the NCPS screen

 

o    Approval, denial or updates to the (Child Support) Good Cause Ind field on the NCPS screen

 

o    TANF recipient changes

 

What information does ACES receive from DCS?

 

·         ACES receives information from DCS about:

 

o    Updated non-custodial parent addresses

 

o    Medical insurance coverage of TANF AU members

 

o    Child support payment collections information

 

·         ACES also receives the New Hires File from DCS.

 

What alerts are generated from the DCS interface?

 

·         ACES generates the following alerts for the specific situation:

 

o    Discrepant data received:

 

¨        ALERT 209 – CHILD SUPPORT INCOME MISMATCH

 

o    Excess child support amounts:

 

¨        Alert 231 – IV-D COLLECTION EXCEEDS GRANT, AMT = $ AMT OVER GRNT 00/00 - $99999.00 00/00 = $99999.99

 

o    Address matches of the non-custodial parent with the TANF client:

 

¨        Alert 194 – SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT SHOWS NON-CUSTODIAL PARENT WITH CLIENT

 

o    New Hires:  

 

¨        ACES runs a check for any cross matches between the Social Security Numbers listed on the DCS New Hires File and the clients listed in ACES. If a match is found, Alert 287 – CLIENT APPEARS HIRED IN THE LAST 30-45 DAYS is generated.
