·         ACES compares the SSN information on the ES Wage file to see if a matching client exists in ACES for all cases except Take Charge.

·         If a match is found, ACES checks to see if any employment information is entered on the EARN screen.  This process checks only to verify if there is employment listed.  Matches for an exact employer or income type cannot be made.

·         This employment matching occurs:

o    Each night for all pending clients.

o    Once a month for all active AUs.

How do I access ES Wage information in ACES mainframe?

What is the ES Unemployment Compensation (UC) interface?

·         The ES Unemployment Compensation (UC) Interface is a weekly one way interface from the Employment Security Department which contains unemployment data in Washington.

How does ACES use ES UC information to match client data?

·         ACES compares the client SSN information on the ES UC file to see if it matches any existing client in ACES.

·         If a client exists in ACES, there is a check to see if any UC information is entered on the UNER screen and if the dollar amounts are the same.

o    This UC match occurs weekly for each client that received a payment during the process week.

·         ACES also sets a trigger when an AU is screened, reinstated or a client is added.  Those clients are then compared against the ES UC file to see if the client has UC information.  If a match is found ACES checks the UNER screen to see if any UC information is listed.

o    This UC match occurs nightly for each triggered client.

How do I access ES UC information in ACES mainframe?

·         To access client ES UC information, take the following steps:

1.    From the WMEN, select Option L – File Inquiry.

How am I notified when there is a discrepancy between the information in ACES and the ES UC information?

·         When there is a discrepancy during the daily or weekly UC match process, Alert 297 – ESD UCB NOT REPORTED ON ACES FOR SSN generates when the ES UC file has UC income and there is no entry for income source [UC] or [UF] on the UNER screen.

·         When there is a discrepancy during the weekly UC match process, Alert 298 – AMT FROM ESD/ACES DIFFER FOR SSN generates when the ES UC file has UC income and there is a different amount displayed on the UNER screen.
