·         The quarterly PARIS interface provides the following information about benefits active ACES clients may be receiving from other states:

o   Veteran’s Administration (VA)

o   Department of Defense (DOD)

o   Interstate Match files

What information is sent to the Federal Government?

·         The file sent from ACES contains ACES clients who are active in the ongoing month at the time the file is created. Clients meeting the following criteria are not included:

o    Clients active on P06 (Take Charge).

o    Clients active on D01 or D02 (Foster Care Medical).

o    Clients with the FINL RESP of NM – Non member and Rel code other than SP – Spouse or CH – Child.

What alerts are generated when information is received from the PARIS file?

·         When the incoming Interstate Match file indicates the client is still active in another state Alert 341 – CLIENT ACTIVE ON BENEFITS IN ANOTHER STATE is generated to the user of record. This is a two-tiered alert with the Interstate Match ISMC screen displayed as the second tier.

NOTE:

The remarks for Alerts 341 and 342 indicate the primary program that is active in the other state as well as the state, office and phone number of the worker to contact. If no contact data is displayed, none was sent by the matching state. Refer to the PARIS Website for contact information when no other data is available.

·         When the incoming VA match file indicates a client is receiving VA income in an amount that is different than what is coded on the client’s UNER screen, Alert 343 – VA PENSION AMOUNT CHANGED – SEE 2ND TIER is generated to the user of record. The VAMC screen displays as the second tier of this alert.

·         When the incoming VA match file shows that one or more of the VA fields ACES displays has changed, Alert 344 – VA CASE CHANGED – SEE 2ND TIER is generated to the user of record. The VAMC screen displays as the second tier for this alert.

·         When the incoming DOD match file shows one of the following discrepancies, Alert 345 – FEDERAL INCOME DISCREPANCY  – SEE 2ND TIER is generated to the user of record. The DODM screen displays as the second tier for this alert.

·         When the DOD match file shows that one or more of the DOD fields that ACES displays has changed, Alert 346 – FEDERAL INFORMATION CHANGED – SEE 2ND TIER is generated to the user of record. The DODM screen displays as the second tier for this alert.
