Issuance Method What issuance methods are available for DSHS benefits? What issuance methods are available for DSHS benefits?
· EBT – Electronic Benefits Transfer
· EFT – Electronic Funds Transfer – Direct Deposit
· Warrant
How is the issuance method determined?
· How benefits will be issued to the assistance unit is determined by the issuance method displayed in the Issn Method field on the STAT and ELIG screens.
· Basic Food benefits are always issued by EBT.
· Vendor payments are always issued by warrant.
· Cash assistance is issued either by EBT or EFT except in the following situations where the issuance method is WAR (warrant):
o Program code AF, RF, GA, GS, or EA with authorized representative type TN, SP, CG, GC, IP, NA, NW, PP, RP or SI.
o Program code DA, GI, GW.
o Program code MA with type code M, N, or O. See Program Codes
