·         The SPA can also be used if a user needs to temporarily leave their computer.

When is information saved to SPA?

·         Case information is saved to SPA in several ways:

o    When the system goes down.

o    When the system times out.

o    When the system ABENDS (Abnormal End).

o    When an emergency issuance is authorized.

o    When a user manually saves the data to SPA.

What is the HELD screen?

·         The HELD screen displays specific information about the SPA hold such as:

o    The SPA Reason Code. See <F1> Help.

o    The user ID of the person that was in the case when the case was held.

o    The option that the user was in when the case was held.

o    The benefit month the case was in when the case was held.

o    The terminal ID.

o    The date the case was held to the SPA.

How do I save a case to SPA?

·         The case data is now held to SPA with the changes saved but not committed and leaving the database unchanged.
