WAC 182-509-0025

Effective October 14, 2012

WAC 182-509-0025 MCS Income--Unearned income.

This section applies to medical care services (MCS).

  1. Unearned income is income an individual gets from a source other than employment or self-employment. Some examples of unearned income are: 

    1. Railroad Retirement;

    2. Unemployment Compensation;

    3. Social Security benefits (including retirement benefits; disability benefits, and benefits for survivors);

    4. Time loss benefits as described in WAC 388-450-0010, such as benefits from the department of labor and industries (L&I); or

    5. Veteran Administration benefits.

  2. The agency or the agency's designee counts unearned income before any taxes are taken out.
