DSHS Issues a Stop Placement of Residents to the License of Private Walla Walla Adult Family Home

OLYMPIA -- The state Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) has issued a stop placement of residents at Miranda's Brother's Home Care, a privately operated adult family home at 314 South 8th Street, Walla, Walla.

The adult family home is licensed and owned by Mariana Miranda.

The state took the action after finding numerous violations of regulations that affected the safety and well-being of residents. The violations include but are not limited to:

The provider has the right to contest the stop placement by requesting an administrative hearing within 28 days of state notification. It remains in effect pending all appeals. While the home is in stop placement, licensee may not admit new residents or re-admit current residents without department permission. Current residents may remain.
