DSHS stops admissions and revokes license of Vancouver adult family home

OLYMPIA -- The state Department of Social and Health Services has stopped admissions and revoked the license of M & M Silver Years, a privately operated Vancouver adult family home, located at 14526 NE Powers Street.

The adult family home is licensed to Maria Keesee.

The state took the action after finding numerous violations of regulations that affected the safety and well-being of residents. The violations include but are not limited to failure to:

While placement at the home is stopped, the licensee may not admit new residents or re-admit current residents without department permission pending any appeal. Current residents may stay in the home pending completion of the appeal process. If a resident chooses to remain, DSHS will continue to monitor the home for resident safety.

The provider has the right to contest the stop placement and revocation by requesting an administrative hearing within 28 days of state notification.
