OLYMPIA – The state Department of Social and Health Services has stopped admissions and revoked the license of Mountain Meadows, a privately operated adult family home located at 1010 Reser Road, Walla Walla.

The home is licensed to Aaron Mountain.

The state took the action after finding violations that jeopardized the safety and well-being of residents by failing to:

• Give three residents 30-day notices of discharge when the house was schedule for closure. The provider failed to relinquish the adult family home license when the last resident left the house.
• Meet the financial obligations of operating homes for vulnerable adults, resulting in the displacement of residents after two adult family homes and two boarding homes were abruptly closed.

While the home is in stop placement, licensee may not admit residents.

The provider has the right to contest the stop placement and revocation by requesting an administrative hearing within 28 days of state notification. There are no residents in the home.
