DSHS schedules public hearings on WCHS, Inc., CRC Health Care proposed relocation of methadone program in Bothell

  OLYMPIA – The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery in the Department of Social and Health Services has scheduled hearings in Shoreline and Everett for the public to comment on the relocation of WCHS, Inc., CRC Health Corporation.

CRC is moving from 18631 Alderwood Mall Parkway in Lynnwood to 22026 20th Avenue S.E. in Bothell. The hearings will be held in accordance with state laws and administrative codes.

The public hearing will have two parts. Information will be provided about the proposed relocation certification process, followed by public testimony, which will be recorded. The information will be provided to DBHR as part of the relocation review process.  

The public hearings will be held October 8, 2009, at the following times and locations:

Background

CRC provides counseling in an outpatient setting, in conjunction with prescribed medications, for people diagnosed with opiate addiction. Methadone is one of the medications used in the opiate treatment program, along with counseling and education.

CRC has been a DBHR-certified outpatient chemical dependency program since April 19, 2002. The counseling center also has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, Inc., DBHR and is in good standing with both agencies since that time.
