2008 Gender-Specific Policy and Programming for "at-risk"
and Delinquent
Girls and Young Women Workshop
The GJJAC is sponsoring TWO, one-day workshops featuring Pam Patton and Marcia Morgan
both experts in developing and implementing gender-specific policies, procedures and
programming for at-risk girls and young women and girls involved in the juvenile justice system.

Workshop Times (for both locations)

Who Should Attend:
Each community is encouraged to bring a comprehensive community-based team, including juvenile court administrators, detention managers, probation supervisors, probation and detention staff committed to serving girls, juvenile court judges, defense attorneys, prosecutors, FRS caseworkers, county commissioners, mental health professionals, health care workers, socials services providers, and concerned citizens.

- There is NO registration fee.

Meals
- Breakfast, light refreshments, and lunch will be provided on both days.
- Please let us know if you have special dietary needs or special accommodations (please list on registration form).
Lodging (the night before the workshops)
- Cedarbrook Washington Mutual Leadership Center is located at 18525 36th Avenue South SeaTac, WA 98188. There is shuttle service to and from the airport. Overnight accommodations are available at your own expense for April 28th. Upon check-in you will be asked to guarantee the room with a credit card. Reservations must be made via Deanna McCann, GJJAC staff, no later than April 11th to guarantee your room. The cost is $185 single and $225 double. Once reserved you will receive a room confirmation number via e-mail.
- Spokane at the Red Lion River Inn is located at 700 North Division, Spokane WA 99202. There is shuttle service to and from the airport. Overnight accommodations are available at your own expense for April 30th.
- Each individual guest must make their own reservations by calling the Red Lion River Inn at 1-800-733-5466 by March 31st. They must identify themselves as attending the Gender Specific Workshop at the Red Lion River Inn, Spokane. The cost is $77.00 single, $97 double. Reservations must be guaranteed and accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card. Any reservations made after March 31st, will not be guaranteed to receive the special group rate, and reservations will be based on availability.
