Health Screening and Mental Health

Washington’s Refugee Health Screening works with local health departments and private health care providers to offer newly arriving refugees a comprehensive screening and examination. Follow-up care and referrals for other necessary services are also provided.

In King County, Refugee Mental Health services are provided by professionally trained and certified mental health counselors to screen, assess, diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans.
