Summary: The recent data in these reports comes from the DSHS Client Services Database (Needs Assessment Database, prior to 1999), which compiles client service and expenditures records from more than 20 of the agency's client record and payment systems. Differences in the way the systems record services and client names are resolved so each person is matched to all the services they receive and no one is counted as more than one person. Client counts and costs for benefits or services provided directly to individual clients are presented by fiscal year.
