Agency Laptop Use

BFET Providers may request the use of agency laptops at the time of the BFET Application each spring or during a current FFY by taking the following steps:  

      Complete the BFET Provider Laptop Request Form on the BFET website, under the Provider Resource Page, and include your agency data security standards and policy.

      Agency data security policies must meet DSHS/BFET Exhibit A: Data Security Requirements and Special Terms and Conditions as it pertains to laptop use.

      Upon receiving written approval from DSHS/ BFET policy, Providers must:

Keep the required records regarding their use of laptop as stipulated in the Special Terms and Conditions of the contract.

The BFET Provider must have a process in place that will ensure weekly download of all DSHS data from portable device to secure storage methods as described in Exhibit A: Data Security Requirements and keep a record of dates of the weekly storage download and the storage method.

The BFET Provider must report any lost or stolen laptop to DSHS contact within one calendar day of discovery.
