High School Transition Liaisons

 

  • What is a counselor liaison
    • A counselor liaison is a VR Counselor who is assigned as the DVR case-carrying counselor to one or more specific high schools or alternative education programs to provide outreach to the school and the community regarding vocational rehabilitation and to assist students with disabilities and their parents/guardians to access vocational rehabilitation services.
    • Every public and private high school in the state is assigned a VR counselor liaison trained to provide outreach and comprehensive high school transition services. Each VR counselor liaison is assigned to a high school by their respective VR supervisor to facilitate outreach activities and provide transition services to eligible students.
