Access to Chemical Dependency Treatment


To provide information to CSD staff when contacted by people who want chemical dependency treatment services.

Clarifying Information

  1. The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR) contracts with the counties to provide outpatient chemical dependency treatment services to low-income clients who are not eligible for any public assistance program or only eligible for  food assistance.
  2. Information about agencies contracted to provide chemical dependency treatment services can be obtained by calling the Alcohol/Drug Helpline at 1-800-562-1240.
  3. Every county has a designated Alcohol and Drug Coordinator who works with DBHR and coordinates all services related to chemical dependency treatment and prevention activities.
