To provide information to CSD staff when contacted by people who want chemical dependency treatment services.
Clarifying Information
- The Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR) contracts with the counties to provide outpatient chemical dependency treatment services to low-income clients who are not eligible for any public assistance program or only eligible for food assistance.
- Information about agencies contracted to provide chemical dependency treatment services can be obtained by calling the Alcohol/Drug Helpline at 1-800-562-1240.
- Every county has a designated Alcohol and Drug Coordinator who works with DBHR and coordinates all services related to chemical dependency treatment and prevention activities.
