076: HOH / AREP NAME MISMATCH - COMPARE EFTR / DEM1

DESCRIPTION

This alert generates when the bank reports a different name on the account than what is listed on the EFTR screen.

 ACES automatically changes the name on the EFTR screen to match the bank’s information. The benefits will be or have been deposited into the bank account.

 

PROCEDURE

1.    Verify the updated name on the EFTR screen is the same as the Head of Household (HOH) on the DEM1 screen.

  • If the name on the EFTR screen is the HOH, no action is required.

2.    If the name on the EFTR screen is not the HOH, send a request for verification as needed.

3.    Delete the EFTR enrollment. See EBT Manual – 10.8 Stopping EFT Issuance.

4.    Contact EFT HQ to request a reversal if needed. See EBT Manual – 10.6 EFT System Reversals.
