139: PER SSA, CLIENT IS DECEASED

DESCRIPTION

This alert generates when a Death Match interface file is received that shows the client is deceased but ACES does not display a death date on the client’s DEM2 screen.

 

PROCEDURE

1.    Verify the Death Date information on the SDX1 screen.

2.    On the DEM2 screen;

o    Enter the [date of death] in the Death Date field.

o    Enter the [State of death] in the Death State field.

3.    Call DONE and <TRANSMIT>.

o    Confirming the case will remove the client from the household or close the AU.

4.    Determine if additional case actions are required.

o    If the person is the head of household, additional programs may need to be opened for other household members prior to coding the client’s death information.

 

DISPOSITION

Enter [Y] in the D field and <TRANSMIT>.
