This alert generates 60 days after the date coded in the SSN App Date field on the DEM1 screen.

1. Review the case to see if an SSN has been reported for the client.
o If an SSN has been reported:
♦ Verify the SSN through SOLQ.
♦ Update the DEM1 screen SSN1 field with [the verified social security number] and the V field with the [appropriate verification code].
o If no SSN has been reported:
♦ Send a request for information letter asking for the SSN or documentation from SSA of the current SSN application status allowing the client about 15 days to return the information.
♦ Set an ECR tickle for 15 days out to review the case for the SSN information and determine if there is Good Cause for not providing an SSN.
Enter [Y] in the D field and <TRANSMIT>.
