Persons Ages 0–25 Enrolled in Apple Health, SFY 2017–SFY 2024

This dashboard provides a snapshot of the behavioral health needs, characteristics, and outcomes of children, youth, and young adults (ages 0–25) enrolled in Medicaid (called Apple Health in Washington State) from SFY 2017-2024.  Rates of behavioral health needs are compared across demographic categories, foster care status, Apple Health coverage type, cross-system involvement, geography, and abuse and neglect history. Outcomes examined include behavioral health treatment utilization, psychotropic polypharmacy, juvenile legal involvement, emergency department utilization, suicidal ideation, injury rates, and teen pregnancy.  Needs and outcomes are presented separately for the broad Apple Health population and the foster care subgroup, which has a substantially higher prevalence of behavioral health needs.
