Decision Process

Review

Once an Administrative Law Judge at the Office of Administrative Hearings issues an administrative hearing decision in select program areas (See WAC 388-02-0217), either party has the option of requesting review at the Board of Appeals. See WAC 388-02-0560 for complete instructions.

Reconsideration

Once a Review Judge has issued a final decision in select program areas (WAC 388-02-0217), either party has the option of requesting a reconsideration of the final decision. See WAC 388-02-0605 for complete instructions.

Judicial review

Judicial review is the process of appealing a final Department decision (review decision) to a superior court. This option is not available to Department representatives.
