Public Comment Open for WAC changes Notification of DLR WAC CR-102 Filing
Children’s Administration filed the required documents on March 20, 2018 regarding proposed Washington Administrative Code (WAC) language changes. The proposed changes will affect the Division of Licensed Resources minimum licensing requirements for:

  • WAC 388-148 for Child Foster Homes, and
  • WAC 388-145 for Group Care Facilities, and
  • WAC 388-147 for Child Placing Agencies and Adoption Services.

Revised Foster Care and Group Care WACs go into Effect on March 16, 2018
Changes were made to WAC chapters 388-145 Group Care Facilities and 388-148 Foster Homes. The updated WAC language will be available on March 16, 2018 at . The language will also be updated on the legislative website at approximately two weeks later. Thank you to all that provided feedback, public comment, and participated in this process.  Read the new language.

Crisis Support Lines for Foster Parents & Relative Caregivers

  • Foster Parent & Caregiver Support line - 1-800-301-1868
    The Foster Parent & Caregiver Support Line provides phone support when foster parents and relative caregivers are in crisis. Children’s Administration social workers answer the calls and can offer behavior management advice, problem solving tips and a listening ear. The support line operates after business hours through CA’s Central Intake.
