Management and Recovery

The management and recovery of a Traumatic Brain Injury can be a long and complicated journey.

The most important take-away is a person does not have to do it alone. There are resources available to help navigate management and recovery of a TBI. In addition to working with health care providers, connecting to local organizations, and support groups, here are some resources for TBI management and recovery.

Benefits of Self-Care

Self-care is any activity that we deliberately do to take care of our mental, emotional, or physical health. Self-care is often the key to improved mood and reduced anxiety. It is about being as kind to yourself as you would be to others. It’s about self-monitoring your resources and taking steps to replenish them instead of running out.
