Meet Rich Pannkuk

Rich Pannkuk

Effective July 2022, Rich Pannkuk was appointed as the Assistant Secretary for the Finance, Facilities and Analytics Administration (FFA) and the Chief Financial Officer for the Department of Social and Health Services. Rich is no stranger to finance and budget, having served three years as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for FFA. Prior to his role in FFA, Rich was the Senior Budget Assistant to the Governor at the Office of Financial Management (OFM) from 2012 until 2019, where he managed OFM’s health and human services portfolio, including making high level budget and legislative recommendations to the Governor.

Rich has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Washington and completed the university’s Executive Management Program. He has Law Enforcement Certification from the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission and has received numerous accolades throughout the years. He has also served on a variety of boards, including on the Washington State Training and Education Fund and the Washington Firefighters Association.
