Office of the Secretary

The Office of the Secretary provides leadership, oversight and shared services that help DSHS deliver on its mission to support Washington communities. OOS strengthens agency accountability through strategic planning, continuous improvement, policy development and enterprise risk management; supports employees through human resources, equity, diversity, access and inclusion initiatives; fosters partnerships with Tribal governments, legislators and community stakeholders; and ensures transparency through public records, information governance and communications. Together, these teams provide the leadership, guidance and support that help DSHS serve the people of Washington effectively and with integrity.
