“I would like to take a moment to recognize the incredible Sewing Room Crew that has come together to provide everyone with quality masks in a short amount of time,’ said Megan DeSmet, superintendent.

DeSmet said Leslie Johnson, Lynda Ushing, Callie Denning, Dorothy Jermone, Tonya Blair, Mardella Park, Kerri Cantrell and Sydney Garner have quickly created an adaptable system to make over 1,000 face masks.

“They have been working tirelessly to produce masks with quality material, often making adjustments to better fit the needs of the employees that work here.”

The team continues to make face masks for DSHS employees and many more facilities statewide. DeSmet asks everyone to take a moment to recognize the time, effort and dedication staff have put into making masks that protect clients and peers.
