The Office of Capital Programs oversees the planning and delivery of construction, renovation, and preservation projects across 15 DSHS-operated hospitals, residential habilitation centers, and institutional campuses.
Through the DSHS capital budget, we support a wide range of projects that improve and expand DSHS-owned buildings and infrastructure. Capital projects may include the construction of new facilities, major upgrades to existing buildings, substantial repairs, and the acquisition of land or property.
All capital projects are classified as public works under Chapter 39.04 RCW and must comply with prevailing wage requirements and other applicable state laws.
