The primary objectives of this study were: 1. to describe the characteristics of the current CMS caseload, 2. to review the service needs of these clients and the degree to which these are being met, 3. to provide information about the amount of time CPC's report spending with different types of clients and providing different types of services, 4. to project the future service needs of this client population, in conjunction with a rationale for case management staff/client ratios, and, 5. to investigate the perceptions of CMS clients, their parents/guardians, and service providers regarding the clients' service needs and satisfaction with CMS. Such information was needed as a basis for considering alternative and more efficient methods of providing client case coordination and for developing new or expanded community services in each region.
