This fact sheet describes the characteristics of adolescents clinically assessed between January and May 1990 who were eligible for Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse (DASA) funded chemical dependency treatment services. The figures presented are based on a weighted sample of 590 adolescents adjusted for size of agency, mode of treatment and time period. The sample consists of 37% of the estimated population of assessed clients. Data were obtained from agency case records and interviews with drug and alcohol counselors.
