Traveling to Medical Lake during Gray Fire Incident

Staff traveling west on I-90 from Spokane (Spokane Valley or Downtown Spokane)

  • Head west on I-90, stay in one of the far right two lanes. Take Exit 277 (I-90 detour) towards Davenport.
  • Take a left on Spotted Rd (at the Longhorn BBQ) just off Highway 2.  Follow Spotted Rd, take a left on Flightline Blvd, proceed to the roundabout, and take the first exit on Geiger Blvd.
  • Take Geiger Blvd to the roundabout just past Hayford Rd – Take the first exit onto SR 902.  Expect to be stopped by the State Patrol/Law Enforcement at Craig Road and SR 902.  Show your credentials/let them know that you are DSHS and are heading to work at Eastern State Hospital/ Lakeland Village/Pine Lodge/Martin Hall/DSHS Warehouse and they will grant you access and proceed to Medical Lake.

 

Staff traveling on the Northside

  • There are no known impacts for staff traveling from North Spokane (unless you are specifically impacted by the Oregon Rd Fire) until you exit onto I-90 heading westbound then you would follow the instructions for staff traveling west on I-90 from Spokane.

 

Staff traveling from the South Hill

  • There are no known impacts for staff traveling from the South Hill until you exit onto I-90 heading westbound then you would follow the instructions for staff traveling west on I-90 from Spokane.

 

Staff traveling from Davenport/Reardan

  • If you are traveling eastbound on Highway 2 from Davenport/Reardan, expect slowdowns (FAFB or Airway Heights) take a right on Craig Rd and proceed to SR 902. Expect to be stopped by the State Patrol/Law Enforcement at Craig Road and SR 902.  Show your credentials/let them know that you are DSHS and are heading to work at Eastern State Hospital/ Lakeland Village/Pine Lodge/Martin Hall/DSHS Warehouse and they will grant you access and proceed to Medical Lake.
