The Family Advisory Council is a passionate group of family members who represent diverse communities, locations and support needs. They meet online once a month to share insights based on their lived experiences and those of their friends and community members.
Their work continues to have a big impact on our work, including:
- Programming and policy updates
- Projects
- Communication with the people we serve
Family members navigate service systems and provide supports to individuals with I/DD. Their shared experience has a profound impact on the way we approach delivery service. Council members challenge us to shift our thinking and improve what we do. Our staff always look forward to presenting and problem-solving with council members.
